My cast on is always tight what should I do?
Use a bigger needle to cast on and continue with the recommended size.
How do I knit a mitre corner?
The corner stitch is usually done in a knit on the right side. Knit until you come to one stitch before the corner stitch. Slip this stitch and the corner stich together k-wise. Knit the next stitch and pass the 2 stitches over.
How do I read a graph?
Always start at the first row at the bottom. When knitting flat (front and back separately) read the graph from right to left on the knit side (right side) and from left to right on the purl side (wrong side). When knitting in the round just read the graph from right to left.
I am doing a rib pattern in the round. Every time I change the colour my purl stitches are also in two colours. What can I do to avoid this?
Change the colour on the right side and knit the first row. On the secnd row follow your rib pattern. By knitting the first row you will avoid the hills and valleys of the purls to be in a different colour.

Use at least 2 sizes bigger needles then recommended on the label of your yarn. The same thing applies if you want to knit a shawl.
